The Magic Of Ares Connect
I really like Ares. There is nothing quite like it for downloading and sharing my favorite music. Lately though, I’ve had some serious frustrations when trying to get my system to connect. It seems that I am not the only one to have problems in getting Ares to connect, as a Google search will show. Unfortunately I have no idea what the causes the problem, which seems to be a common one. I’ve heard it said that the protocol for connecting is outdated. Or, Perhaps it’s just that the Ares network is going clogged up as a result of its huge popularity. Maybe the people using Ares Galaxy – which from the looks of things is getting more than a little tired in its old age – are the ones but are having issues in making Ares connect.
I’ll leave the “wheres” and “whys” of the situation to those people that are interested in that side of things. To be honest with you, all I am interested in is downloading more music, and Ares definately has enough bandwidth for this.
Fortunately, my friends are a bunch of people to know more about the technical side this than I do. They quickly understood my problem, and instantly recommended a piece of software called AresConnect.
Ares Connect is not another version of Ares, nor is it a replacement: what it actually does is to help whatever version of Ares you are currently using to connect to the network. Ares Connect really is as simple as that.
I combine this with a new version of Ares that I found: Ares Vista. Ares Vista and Ares Connect seemed to really well for me, and I’m really pleased with my setup now. No more frustration, no more waiting, just straight to the fun bit.
