Speaker Jim Lopez

Jim Lopez currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff in the office King County Executive Ron Sims in Seattle, Washington. As part of his duties, Jim leads the Executive's global warming team.

Prior to his entry into the Executive Office in 2003, Jim Lopez received a law degree from Case Western Reserve in 1992 and practiced law for nine years in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2003, Jim received a master's in public administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He began his work with King County as a senior advisor upon the completion of his degree. Jim took on his current role as Deputy Chief of Staff in 2005.
